Call me ignorant but I never heard anything from this band, so the third full-length by REVENGE is my first encounter with the band. The only info I got was the presence of Pete Helmkamp (no further introduction needed). Due to the label I supposed some kind of Black Metal, but I was wrong. It is Grindcore, quite simply. Reminding me especially of bands like DEAD INFECTION, REGURGITATE, early EXHUMED and, regarding the diversified vocals from high screams to deep guttural grunts, DEPRESSION. After I have listened to “Infiltration. Downfall. Death” a few times I asked the internet for some information about the band – and was quite surprised. I read about “Antichrist supremacist banner”, violence, “the final command in Extremist Metal”, hate, the band spoiling the press for bad reviews, because they (the press, not the band) are “deaf morons”. REVENGE mark their style as “Superion Attack Metal”, in order to praise the Antichrist and so on. Please, calm down. It is just Grindcore with Black Metal lyrics, and I like it because I love the noise of Grind in the morning, but the whole image the band constructs is a little exaggerated.
