Mighty SATHANAS returned with a fucking great new album! Almost 3 years after their really cool “Entering The Diabolic Trinity” LP, these Pennsylvanian Death Metal veteran hounds returned with a brand new shredder of an album. To be honest I was somehow skeptical whether SATHANAS would still be able to deliver the goods, but more than glad to realize that they sure do. In my opinion, this is without any doubt one of their best (if not their best) album to date: well delivered with solid-structured songs, killer guitars, and a tight rhythm-section. Add to the above the fantastic production that helps “Crowned Infernal” to sound both underground, yet professional at the same time. SATHANAS do not hesitate to perform their brand of mid-tempo Death / Black Metal without fearing to introduce loads of Thrash / Heavy parts in it. Not to mention the band’s excellent technical abilities that keep on improving for the better with every album. This is a band with class and they’re not afraid to reveal this. I doubt that SATHANAS will ever get the attention they deserve, but I hope that at least real maniacs support them. Personally, I consider them superior and far more interesting than the majority of uninspired stupid evil Death Metal copycats that have flooded the scene, but sadly not many share my opinion I guess. To finish up, the great Necrolord cover artwork makes the release of “Crowned Infernal” on LP format a must! www.pulverised.net
