SATHANAS
Flesh For The Devil

After their last full-length "Entering The Diabolic Trinity" SATHANAS are now back again with this mini-album. Six tracks in the typical old school Thrash / Black Metal style they always used to play. But sadly this output can not keep the level of the previous release. No energy, powerless sound, no inspiring song-writing. After I received the last promo-package I listened to "Flesh For The Devil" for a few times and could not believe that this is the same band that performed "Entering The Diabolic Trinity". Something went wrong, maybe the band was forced to act under pressure or the studio conditions were pretty bad. Be this as it may, this release can not match up with the predecessor, in fact not even or just hardly with the first three VENOM albums. Hopefully the upcoming release "Crowned Infernal" can give back more energy and old school vibes than "Flesh For The Devil" (the SLAUGHTER cover is pretty cool nevertheless – Frank). www.sathanas.net
