In this day and age with easily up to 100-200 or even more releases out every month you can be thankful for every band that makes it easy for you to decide against purchasing its offerings. SIKFUK perform funny, obscene and yes, pretty disgusting Death / Grind with some solid riffing, solid burps and gurgles – the vocals actually remind me a bit of early MORTAL DECAY – and, of corpse, a drum computer that sounds horrible… of corpse. Enhanced by a booklet of extremely perverse comic drawings ideally capturing such lyrical excretions like ‘Lactating Milf White Russians’, ‘Herpes Infested Tampon Boot’ it’s kinda obvious that at least PUTRID PILE lovers (though SIKFUK hardly reach their quality) might be captivated by this. I think it’s poo and a perfect example for the fact that the usage of drum computers in Death Metal and Grindcore is not only an abomination sonically but also the reason why literally floods of guys out there started their little bedroom projects and pester the planet with ridiculous sounds that, for me personally, are an insult to these genres and I’ll never stop wondering why the hell anyone finds pleasure in doing such stuff since doing things just for fun is never a good origin of creativity.
