Enthrone Death
(Godz Ov War Productions)

Back in 2022, I was very ill because of the legs and buttocks of an insolent girl. I couldn’t eat neither breath, so I had to call my boss to tell him that I was going to be absent from my daily job. He fired me without any explanation, he only told me that my judgement was the worst that he had ever known. In the meantime, I discovered a band from Poland, called SOULCARRION. They had just released their debut and now I am going to write a review from their latest full-length. SOULCARRION is a Death Metal band from Warsaw, formed in 2019 by Greg (lead guitars) and Michal (rhythm guitars, bass and drum programming). To this date, SOULCARRION have one full-length, an EP and on January 26, 2024 Godz Ov War Productions put out their new production, entitled “Enthrone Death”. Since the first time I played it, the form in which I assimilated it was pure and full of entertaining. There are no unnecessary returns, no unneeded solos and just lyrics full of inexistence. The vocals are great, not overproduced! SOULCARRION’s have evolved. Nowadays, the drums are played by a guest called Darek Mlody and the voices are vomited by Mateusz Sibila in seven tracks and Vesper Locust (only in the third track). The sound is more organic nowadays and not some kind of artificial band, SOULCARRION have achieved riffs and structures that are accompanied by great blast beats, merging into a brutal Death Metal style in some passages. The influences to “Enthrone Death” are a mixture of the Florida scene (Glen Benton’s voice in “Legion” to be precise, the cavernous and putrid one), VOMITORY, SINISTER and even some weight of their compatriots VADER and IMPERATOR. SOULCARRION is a duo that is going against the horrible trends in the Death Metal genre. You can see this asseveration in the logo (created by Pawel Pawlowski) or cover art (made by Maciej Kamuda, the one who created the latest art of BLUT AUS NORD). Nothing made out by artificial intelligence, only a return to the origins combined with a production of the contemporaneity. Godz Ov War Productions has made it again. Take some notes of how to sign bands, mates. The underground will forever reign! I do not mention any particular song, because all of them make me thirsty with their brutality and ferocity.
