I must admit, this band is completely new to me. I know you cannot be aware of and have heard of every Metal band in existence (just take a look at Metal Archives and see for yourself), but I would like to think I’m pretty much in the loop. Regardless of my ignorance, we are taking a look at a compilation of all the band’s early demos, beginning from 2000, stretching to the 2012 timeframe. Obviously, there is a bit of history involved, but I also ask why there is a need for this compilation? I’m not meaning to be a pessimistic curmudgeon about this, but I have a few of my own reasons. #1 is why do newer releases come first, then go to the older stuff last, in the tracklisting? Shouldn’t it be the other way around? #2 As expected with some or rather all of the material, the sound quality varies from each of the band’s outputs, and frankly, much of it is not noteworthy or memorable to these ears. The band treads a line between early VULCANO, SARCOFAGO and with bits of POSSESSED, and all presented to you with a very garage band quality in both sound and songwriting. I say this because many of the songs have a sort of haphazard, devil-may-care air about them, and I realize this can be endearing to some and maybe even, upon the understanding that this is the band’s early output, but at 15 songs, some of it can just pass you by, as it lacks anything truly memorable. Now, to get back to my original question, I even went back and listened to some of their “official” releases, and granted, there are some interesting moments and obviously the production is much better, but I still don’t see the need for this. On the band’s Bandcamp page, it states, and I quote, “TERRORAMA’s goal has always been to create raw, traditional Metal and avoid being sucked into the stagnant conformism.” This gives you a bit of insight into their state of mind and also of what you can expect going into this release. Something truly for the true Metalheads and the trve fans of the band. https://terrorama.bandcamp.com, www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063481655638
