TERRORAMA
Horrid Efface

After releasing an already excellent demo entitled "Misanthropic Genius" in 2002 (review to be found somewhere on this pages) Swedish TERRORAMA could gain a deal with NWN and now offer their first full-length containing seven new tracks (including a HOLY TERROR cover) of aggressive, diversified Black / Thrash sounding like a mixture of early MERCILESS, BATHORY with some Brazilian elements (I mean SARCOFAGO, SEXTRASH here, not KRISIUN!). Especially the guitar sound is quite comparable to such cult hordes of the mid-late 80s. By keeping their songs varied, implementing surprising breaks, almost catchy riffs and a nicely raw yet powerful sound TERRORAMA do not go for an utter retro-worshipping-thing, but come across quite individual and fresh sounding without losing their old school attitude. Though TERRORAMA won’t be something for Prog-fans their ingeniously simple riffing and furious drive is pretty addictive and the band wrote songs that simply stick to your ear like a fly to a pile of shit. By putting "Horrid Efface" in a luxurious gatefold packaging with a great layout, it isn’t only something tasty for your ears but also for your eyes. Iron Fist productions released it also as a tape, lacking the bonus song to be found on the LP version, which was recorded later than the other songs and hopefully is a sign for TERRORAMA’s future releases, it’s damn good! If you are into black, thrashing Metal that has its own identity with respecting the genre’s forefathers, get this album!
