The name of the band is the name of the leader. As if you do not know that. And for me that speaks of a lot of confidence. But, the man is Rogga. He plays probably in that Death Metal band that rehearses near your place, because for the man, distance means nothing. Yes, he plays in many, many bands. I even heard that he actually never played in the same room with the guys of MASSACRE, yet he recorded two albums with them. So, the sky is the limit. Ok let’s go to this album, which is again, a very good piece of Swedish old school melodic Death Metal. To me it also has a vibe reminiscent of BOLT THROWER, and that is never a bad thing. It is mostly mid paced Death Metal, with some faster parts and very good growls courtesy of the man himself. I am sure most Death Metal fanatics know about this guy, but if you were in hibernation for 20 years, you can find something similar in style to UNLEASHED, some early AMON AMARTH and probably AT THE GATES. Catchy songs you can sing along to and riffs upon riffs of heavy, yet melodic Metal. And yes, any records from this project is very similar, and if you like this one or you liked the ones before, you cannot go wrong. This one checks many points in a good way: great production, great cover art, interesting lyrics, catchy riffs, good solos and yet I still think that this could be so much more. I have heard so many, really so many bands with this guy that my wires get sometimes disconnected. Obviously many of the riffs will sound similar, as his style is always there. And here it is no exception, many songs sound a bit similar, or should I say they evoke similar atmospheres. Then again, I prefer a bit more the way he creates things in PAGANIZER, as it is a bit tad faster.
