CIANIDE
Divide and Conquer

It’s actually the first time that I got to hear a full length of America’s CIANIDE, although they’re already around for quite a while. “Divide And Conquer” offers ten very simple, straight forward Death Metal songs, their style often reminds me on old MASTER (just listen to the riffs in ‘Death Machine’ and MASTER’s ‘Pay To Die’ and you’ll get the picture. I even think CIANIDE is hailing from Chicago as well, but I’m not 100% sure (you are absolutely right here, Steven – Ed.). Anyway, I think CIANIDE sound best in midtempo tracks like ‘Throne Of Blood’ that you can really bang your head to. On the other hand songs like the fast ‘One Thousand Ways To Die’ or ‘Remain In Hell’ are rather cool also. “Divide And Conquer” is a very old school sounding Death Metal album, very dirty music for dirty and ugly people…
