Sometimes there are album titles that make me wonder what in the devil’s name was the intention? And then there are those that fit like a glove like “Morbid Affection To Darkness”. CZARNA MAGIA started as a rather unspectacular Black Metal outfit with the “Inwokacja Pierwotnej Mocy” demo, but already on their first full-length “Voracious Demons Of Megalomania“ some Death Metal riffs crept in. On the second album “Merciless Trap Of Civilization” there was additionally a lean towards obscure and odd eighties Heavy Metal, which had previously been explored in this form by DARKTHRONE. The current album follows this path consistently, this time a new ingredient has been added to the existing basis. An almost punkish attitude, simply structured songs like the very first CELTIC FROST. Definitely a very unique style that is reinforced by the singing, because on the one hand it is raw and brutal, but also understandable and is presented in different nuances. The sound is far from modern standards, but at the same time it is anything but muffled or stuffy. The whole thing is topped off by a special kind of humor. At least that is how I interpret a song title like ‘The Shamanic Song Corrupted By Evil And Technology’.
