DECREPITAPH
Beyond The Cursed Tombs

Thanks to the guys at Razorback Records, here we have "Beyond The Cursed Tombs". For those of you that haven’t heard this band (shame on you, by the way), DECREPITAPH plays Death Metal the way is has always been meant to be played: dark, evil and raw. Since DISMA’s great demo debut, I haven’t heard this kind of bad-ass, organic production. Everything is audible and incredibly awesome! No "old school" or "retro" tags; no crisp guitar / bass sound and no plastic drums. "Beyond The Cursed Tombs" focuses on heaviness and atmosphere, with some doomy passages added to the mid-tempo attack. The effective riffing and song structures deliver as expected, creating a creepy listen all the way through. Compared to their debut album "Condemned Cathedral", DECREPITAPH has evolved in both, musical and lyrical content and they are now a deathly, yet simple, bone crushing machine! I will stop here cause there is nothing else to say. This is a honest effort; an awesome album and a great lesson in (musical) violence.
