GRAVERED
Cult To...
(Iron, Blood And Death Corporation)

What if dinosaurs were actually obese, HM2-shaped beings from the firey pits of hell? GRAVERED greet us with this somewhat outlandish question without answer. Santiago, Chile is where these five Death Metal violators operate and “Cult To…” is yet another piece of flesh in their rancid human puzzle. I jumped on my chair when I first discovered a strong similarity between a specific 3 note sequence on this compilation’s old piano intro and POSSESSED’s classic opening instrumental on “Beyond The Gates”. I don’t know if that was premeditated, but guys: well done. Style-wise, GRAVERED have good songs with the right dark atmosphere, sounding like a slimy green mix of CIANIDE, DISMA and slow FUNEBRARUM. Live and studio recordings have been crammed on what is the band’s third EP, out now on limited digipak through Mexican label Iron, Blood and Death Corporation. All I can say about this is that, at this point, a proper full-length album is sorely needed.
