KÖRGULL THE EXTERMINATOR is a Spanish band calling their style “Axe Black Thrash Metal”. Now this sounded suspicious straight away and I was damn right! Basically these poseurs play sloppy as diarrhea Black Punk, same rhythm throughout all songs, same 2-3 riffs and annoying screeching vocals. There’s no fuckin Thrash in that shit, just lazy string stroking, piercing screams and lots of chaotic noise. Some might call it primitive Black Metal, emphasis being on “primitive” but there only so few bands in the world who manage to pull this style off. If you’re drunk off your ass with stinky crapped pants in some shithole listening to these clowns, heavily decorated with rings, patches and bulletbelts, abusing their instruments, then maybe, just maybe, you can connect to their annoying noise and striking poses and feel empowered for a second. But 54 minutes of this “War Of The Voivodes” is the most boringly painful ear exercise I’ve ever done and I want to forget it right now. Total shit.
