RAZOR
Open Hostility

This record from the Canadian Thrash Metal band RAZOR was originally a CD only release in 1991. RAZOR is Canada’s longest running Thrash band which started back in 1984, but they never really made it out of the underground, except of a very loyal fan base. “Open Hostility” was their 7th record and the last one before they took their first break. The music is Thrash Metal in the style of VENOM and early SLAYER with a pinch of MOTÖRHEAD. The biggest problem of the record is the drum computer. The riffs are great, straight forward and also great vocals from Bob Reid, but the drum computer is really annoying with the time because you really recognize it. Also I think it’s the reason why the record sounds a little bit cold and sterile. But because the music is cool, the CD is really hard to get and this is the first release on vinyl by our favourite vinyl-releasing friends High-Roller-Records you should buy it. RAZOR really deserve it. And the presentation is perfect; limited to 500 copies, 100 on red/yellow vinyl, 200 in clear/red splatter vinyl and 200 on black vinyl, including a lyric sheet. So this one will be hard to get soon, too. www.myspace.com/razorcanadiantrashmetalband, www.high-roller-records.de
