Rusted Throne

"Uneventful“, "…just not as good“, “…the same sound”, are statements you’ll find about “Rusted Throne” on the internet. Maybe those descriptions fit. And maybe, a few different people coming to the same conclusion, means the chance they are right within their judgments might be therefore proportional higher. But maybe, in this case I can certify the fact that my honorable colleagues from review world are simply wrong. Sorry for them, but good for you. Because with RIOTOR’s second full length album you get a present of pure hate. An entertaining as fuck piece of forward thrashing Death Metal surrounded by the charisma of a high noon bar brawl with Scandinavian Punks. Guitars and bass are used for one purpose only. Get your attention with heavy dissonant licks and corpse grinding solos to subsequently hand you a flaming bottle with some gas inside and force you to follow them blindly. I suppose you do so and don’t care for the consequences. Its gonna make fun! And on top of that raging crowed sits a veteran drummer with no humor at all. Fast, simple, brutal, tight. Once you let him guide your neck, you will be razed. The voice of singer “Ismarevil” is more or less beyond repair and just a belligerent instrument which tries to finally deconstruct your feel good Wacken atmosphere. "Of cause you can have an expensive band shirt, but who knows if we didn’t piss on it…" could be an expression this record exhales. Seen from far maybe the friendliest one they are willing to offer. But who cares? It’s a shirt. And after enjoying “Rusted Throne” you might need it. www.riotormetal.com, www.facebook.com/riotor, www.inferno-records.net
