SUMMON
Baptized By Fire

Also U.S. based SUMMON still have to learn their lessons in originality. First of all, why the fuck do these guys use the same front cover artwork as HATE ETERNAL’s “Conquering The Throne”? That’s truly innovative: also musically SUMMON are beyond good and evil. They have some very cool tunes which remind me on ANGELCORPSE (R.I.P.), e.g. the opening track ‘Sons Of Wrath’ is an utterly violent and aggressive attack, but it seems that these guys have some heavy timing problems. Also the production is not powerful enough to convince me. All in all I think SUMMON is a band with potential, but “Baptized By Fire” is only a mediocre Death / Thrash album without any originality!
