Everyone of us loves Lemmy and MOTÖRHEAD, right? So does this Chinese trio named TRACTOR that plays very straightforward, unpolished and rocking, Punk influenced Heavy Rock that clearly borrows its main source of musical inspiration from Lemmy and co. On a sketch paper TRACTOR would definitely work as some sort of tribute act of MOTÖRHEAD, and in my opinion it would be a cool idea for them to play concerts around their home country by using some clever MOTÖRHEAD alias name, playing strictly MOTÖRHEAD cover songs. On this split release there’s the band’s entire "Sexy Big Butt" demo included, added with a rehearsal song called ‘Stand By Me’. The sound quality is kinda so-so on their part of this split, but despite that they sound pretty darn cool yet entertaining, which is the most important, I’d say. On the CD sleeve TRACTOR also has one important statement to make: ‘All respect to MOTÖRHEAD. Lemmy is God’. How right they are indeed… Lemmy truly is a true iconic Rock ‘n’ Roll god for many of us. SKULLCRUSHER, making the second half of this split release, performs Thrash Metal with enough talent and conviction about their skills to offer us something worth checking out, in terms of goodness of Thrash Metal to be more precise. They play together well as a tight team, performing both melodic and in-yer-face Thrash in the very same package. They offer some neck-breaking riffs, good breaks and shit, within their songs – and with a more aggressive vocal approach, they would absolutely stand out a bit better. This is proven in a cover of SLAYER’s ‘Die By The Sword’, in which vocalist Chen just cannot deliver his goods convincingly enough, unfortunately.
