If there’s one thing we know as Metalheads, it’s that Poland dishes out some kick-ass bands. From BEHEMOTH to BESATT, there’s certainly a wide range of Metal that delivers. And Black / Thrashers WARFIST is no exception. Their machinegun-firing brand of the genre we love can pick us up and make us move. This reminds us of why we love the music to start with. ‘Pestilent Plague’ explodes out of the pen charging at full-speed with no warning whatsoever. Screw opening intros. Screw any form of spoken word or ambience. WARFIST kick in the door and bludgeon us with their full-throttle thrashing fury. The second track ‘Written With Blood’ on their second full-length carries on the speed with HellVomit’s blistering guitars. Infernal Deflorator’s drumming keeps the pace along with Wrath’s on-the-mark bass-playing. By the time the third track ‘Convent Of Sin’ bursts into our eardrums, our legs are most likely weak from the constant thrashing we’ve been a party to. ‘Tribe Of Lebus’ picks up the pace even more so, if that’s possible. ‘Breed of War’ allows a slight breather in this mid-paced (well, mid-paced compared to the previous tracks) anthem. The title track ‘Metal To The Bone’ kicks you in the balls for slowing down on the last song. How dare you think the album would calm down even remotely??? WARFIST aren’t having that. They’re twisting your nipples, elbowing you in the teeth and kicking you while you’re down for thinking that. Damn, this band knows its business. ‘Necrovenom’, ‘Playing God’ and ‘Reclaim The Crown’ end the album with just as much energy as the rest of the tracks. If you want a no-holds-barred Thrash fest, pick up "Metal To The Bone". You won’t be disappointed. For more info, check out www.facebook.com/warfisthorde, www.godzovwar.com
