Sometimes a few words are connected with a band, words which got constantly repeated when reading reviews and interviews or talking with friends about the band. In this case the words have been old school Thrash Metal, eighties, SODOM, KREATOR, DESTRUCTION, up-tempo, cliché. Now WITCHBURNER are back with their fifth full-length release and guess what – nothing has changed. Still the same fast played Thrash Metal with a fierce, aggressive shouter, played with a lot of enthusiasm and a powerful production that will set your speakers in flames. Needless to write more, since WITCHBURNER are active since 1992 and well-known for releasing superb German Thrash Metal. At least for me it is still surprising how they manage to keep up the energy after all those years, still devoted to good old Thrash Metal without any Punk or Gothic or whatever influences like some other Thrash Metal bands.
