DIMMU BORGIR, WITCHERY, NAPALM DEATH have pulled out of the Metallenium tour. SIX FEET UNDER, LAMB OF GOD, GOD FORBID and DARKEST HOUR are still on the bill. Dimmu Borgir confirmed at their website that the tour has been moved to January 2002

Along with VADER, CRYTOPSY and DYING FETUS, KATAKLYSM completed its European tour in support of Epic: The Poetry Of War. Now back in Canada, the quartet prepares for the North American assault supporting Marduk with guests AMON AMARTH and DIABOLIC which begins on October 5th in Aurora, IL and ends November 4th in Montreal. In related news, watch for a 20 minute live piece from August 4th in Quebec City that is airing on ARTV (channel 31 in Montreal) on Monday, September 24th 2001 at noon and Wednesday, September 26th 2001 at 11pm.
IN FLAMES will replace STATIC-X on the Tattoo The Planet tour. They will join the tour on October 2nd in Stockholm and on October 4th in Helsinki DESTRUCTION will replace PANTERA on all the German Tattoo The Planet dates. Also on the bill are SLAYER, CRADLE OF FILTH, BIOHAZARD and VISION OF DISORDER. The German dates run from September 22nd to October 6th. In addition, Destruction will play a headlining show on October 7th at The Big Island in Dortmund, Germany. In other Destruction news, dates for the band’s European tour with SODOM and KREATOR will be announced soon. The band are also planning dates for the U.S.
DEFACED release their debut album, Domination Commence, on September 27th in Japan. This edition include the exclusive bonus track ‘When The Levee Breaks’, a cover of the LED ZEPPELIN classic.
MISTELTEIN begin their first European tour on October 16th in support of GOD DETHRONED and NIGHT IN GALES. The dates begin on the 16th at Trillians in Newcastle, England and wrap up on November 4th at Indian’s Saloon in Milano, Italy

ANCIENT will play some live dates in Europe starting September 28th at the Mephisto Club in Alessandria, Italy through ’til November 24th at the Metallian Festival in Lille, France. HELL-BORN‘s Damned To Hell European Tour 2001 kicks off on October 18th in Katowice, Poland and wraps on November 3rd in London, England. Support comes from DAMNATION.

A European tour featuring ENTHRONED, ANOREXIA NERVOSA and ARKHON INFAUSTUS begins on November 13th at Trillians in Newcastle, England. The dates conclude on November 28th at a to-be-announced venue in Italy.

France’s AD INFERNA are about to release their debut, L’empire des Sens. The album was produced in Holland’s Excess Studio. Vicomte Vampyr Arkames is now a fixed member of the band since leaving SETH. Arkames wrote all the lyrics.
Germany’s DIES ATER are writing new material in preparation to enter One Stage Studio next March to record a new album, which will be produced by Andy Claasen. The band plan to release an EP at the same time as the new album. The EP will include a re-recorded demo track and a new song, recorded in German. That same track will appear on the full-length in English.
EISREGEN have finished mixing their new album, Farbenfinsternis. The album includes 12 tracks, and a special digi-pack version will include a bonus track, a cover of the DEATH classic ‘Born Dead’. BLACK ABYSS are writing material for a new album that has the working title, Angels Wear Black. The album will be produced by Dieter Roth (HAGGARD). The band are looking for a new guitarist and in the meantime their live shows will feature ex-GRAVEWORM axe Harald Klenk. The new album will be released next spring, followed by a tour with THE ARMADA.
Russia’s ROSSOMAHAAR have recorded their new album, Quaerite Lux In Tenebris (Exploring The Eternal Worlds). Tracks include: ‘The Misanthropist’, ‘Sacred War’ and ‘Transflamed Visions Of Your Mortal End’. The album was produced at CDM Records-Studio and will be released in late 2001.
BEHEMOTH, KHOLD and CARPATHIAN FOREST will tour Europe together beginning on October 14th in Engelsdorf, NL. The dates wrap up on November 3rd in Patronaat, NL
