AGGRESSIVE MUTILATOR from Norrköping in Sweden have returned with their latest demo “Tomb Of Dissonance”. This is significant to mention, since “Tomb Of Dissonance” is already their ninth demo since their inception in 2012, in their quite deep and diverse discography. As a follower of the band for quite some time, it’s safe to say, that all of their demos, with decaying low-end productions, always work as a provocatory matter to listen to on repeat. Their style of Black Metal isn’t crushing with speed or doom, but with a mid-paced sound that’s always dominated by the singer’s sharp guitars and incredibly penetrating vocals. Mikael Holm, on guitars and vocals, once again delivers the grittiest, Punk-infused AGGRESSIVE MUTILATOR sound that honors their underground ethos and sets them apart from the stream. Micael Zetterberg, on bass and drums, equally rumbles on both of the instruments and uphelds the atmosphere intended by the band. The four self-released tracks, with a playing time below the ten minutes mark, say all about what anyone can expect. ‘Tomb Of Dissonance’, ‘New Blood Madness’, ‘Rot In Pain’ and ‘Morbid Morons’ get spit out from the speakers with primitive lyrics about the distressing consequences of racism, sickness, power abuse and alienation. Anyone not yet exposed to their music: this is Black Metal with the most rebellious spirit and also, as the band mentioned in their release notes, if you are looking for a big production with a fat and polished sound, this is not for you.
