DERANGED’s biggest problem always was that their albums tend to get boring or monotone after three or four songs, because most of them sounded quite similar and did not vary significantly in terms of tempo or rhythm, but kept blasting relentlessly until you either could not bang any longer or slept. With “Plainfield Cemetery” DERANGED have been able to solute this problem by making the whole thing more diversified. There are more tempo and rhythm changes (more stops, breaks and even doublebass parts), some nice solos and even slight hints of groove, that do not weaken the merciless aggression and pounding brutality DERANGED embody since their Debut, but make it more effective. The Swedish brutal Deathers’ 5th full-length effort is their most elaborate and best so far! It fucking kills!!! It is the first DERANGED album, where I can make out some real stand-out tracks, like ‘God Is Dead’ (containg a cool SLAYER-like riff) or ‘Roadside Rendevous’, which proves best that even the vocals got more intense. So if you are into brutal Death be sure to check out this inhuman onslaught, I think the DERANGED maniacs will bow without any doubt before this sonic massacre!!!
