HATE
Awakening Of The Liar

This is the fourth HATE album so far, and I think we can say that this Polish act grows better and better with the time! I knew their two first albums “Lord Is Avenger” and “Victims” re-released under the name “Holy Dead Trinity” on Blackend Records, but even if the HATE trademark is still here, I can warrant you that this “Awakening Of The Liar” is a hell of a blast in your face, due to the even more killer production and the quality of the song writing. Apparently it was not a handicap for the band to start again with a new second guitarist and a new drummer. I find that HATE is crushing even more than before, and has slowly matured to give us an album which has its own way of sounding. Still one can hear some obvious influences of bands like MORBID ANGEL, VADER or DEICIDE (especially for the vocals), but all in all it remains light and don’t gives you the bad feeling to have already heard the HATE riffs before. If you are a Polish Death Metal fan, I can strongly recommand you to give a listen to this album, because it is strong, has a lot of variations, delivers intense riffing, and is simply timeless. No wonder that if you are into real Death Metal, the brutal way, you might enjoy it quite fully! And I think that the band manages to finally get the recognition it deserves since its funding in 1990, while signing with Listenable Records for Europe and WW3 Records for the US market.
