THRONEUM
Deathmass Of The Gravedancer
(Displeased Records)
32:20min

Although this is this the first time I encounter with polish THRONEUM I presume that the style they play hasn’t changed over the last 11 years of their existence. They sound is as raw as old INCANTATION and NECROVORE, are as blasphemic as BLASPHEMY and SARCOFAGO and play riffs Death Metal spawned in the late 80s / early 90s. This is pure old school Black-Death-and Thrash with the fitting raw atmosphere and the right nihilistic attitude. And if it needs a Chris Moyhen cover (e.g. BEHERIT, BLASPHEMY) to proof that you take you sound serioulsy THRONEUM made that right. There is really not much to say anymore for it is clear: if you are into the afore mentioned bands, add a l little ASPHYX, TERRORIZER und BESTIAL WARLUST you will definetly enjoy this record. For me something is missing that makes this band outstanding but I like the all-over feeling that sticks to this longplayer. Better ugly than polished, better evil than happy, Death before Disco. www.geocities.com/throneum, www.displeasedrecords.com
