THRONEUM
The Unholy Ones

Throneum is as far as I know quite big in Poland and this band has already released numerous of split releases since they changed their name from Throne (the band’s original name) to Throneum back in early 2000. Talking about Poland , don’t expect anything in the vein of their other country mates since Throneum are totally different from what you ever heard from there. This is something that 80s and early 90s Metal fans are looking for. Throneum composed an angry, evil and – I’m sorry to say that it’s also "ugly" sound! On the other side, the band’s logo and the cover itself are also ugly enough and it’s easy for us to say that this band isn’t doing any song that your ugly girlfriend would like to listen to! This 8 track EP really sounds like as if it’s been recorded in the 80s with a sound that is raw, and the rawness is really a must for this kind of music. The band mixes dark and dirty sounding Death Metal and the sound of Thrash Metal of the 80s with the depth atmosphere of Black Metal; everything very old school! Fans of Possessed, Blasphemy, Pestilence or Celtic Frost shouldn’t miss out on this CD!! It’s really an EP recorded by an old school band for old school fans! www.deathgasm.com
