VOMITORY is one of those long running bands in the Swedish Death Metal scene that seemingly can not be destroyed. After a few years on hiatus, the guys are at it again. And they even have a new album out after more than ten years of silence. “All Heads Are Gonna Roll” is the tenth album from VOMITORY and it shows a band that has not forgotten what Death Metal is all about: guitars that split skulls, a damn fucking raw beat and growling vocals. What makes VOMITORY special in the Swedish scene is that they sound a little bit different compared to their country mates. The influences are from all the old bands, be they continental European, Scandinavian or American. Add some Thrash Metal roots, a more than healthy dose of d-beats and a certain “fuck off!” attitude and you get VOMITORY. Of course that doesn’t really sound like the latest revolution in Metal. That is not even the intention of “All Heads Are Gonna Roll”, but it is a really great ‘Ode To The Meat Saw’, always fresh and powerful. And if you don’t like that, you should take into consideration that you’re reading the wrong pages. If you’re fed up with half-assed Death Metal records, VOMITORY should definitely be for you.
