It took some time, but this split between Germany’s Death / Grind underground masters DEPRESSION and the Swedish bosses of Death Metal with Crust influences, PAGANIZER is finally out. On one side we have ten new songs from the Germans plus an intro and outro, and from the Swedes a compilation of ten tracks of […]
Greeks Dead Congregation master speedy Death Metal, rending you into a ponderous mental state of furious and relentless agonies. Choppy beat switch-ups and dismal dark riffing incite the nauseating sickness of real Death Metal played by real players who relish, amongst other sundry oppressive qualities in their sound, the odd-felt pinch-harmonic bends of some classic […]
"Heartwork" is Earache’s second CARCASS re-issue in the current dual disc series and it easily blows away the "Necroticism" re-release. Not only because "Heartwork" was musically the way better album (no, to me the band had definitely NOT sold out with it!), but also because of the very impressive extra stuff that comes along with […]
If you’re a die hard CARCASS fan and you’ve bought everything by these guys in the past already, there’s absolutely no need for you to consider a purchase of this re-release as it features previously already available material exclusively. The only difference between the original "Wake Up And Smell The Carcass" release and this new […]
Before I tell you my opinion about this split CD I would like to honestly thank Coagulated Records for sending in this Promo, because I really appreciate their support for our webzine, but I also have to be honest to the people who visit this site and so I always try my best to utter […]
Intense, minimalist, unrelenting Punk / Metal. Definitely BONE AWL’s best so far. Strong production, good (sick) lyrics, memorable songs. The only drawback is that the vocals could have been louder in the mix. A perfect cross between THE MISFITS and early BATHORY. This needs to be on LP and CD. Charles Keller
Currently there’s quite a lot of talk going on about a big Thrash revival, but as so often the quality of most of the bands that had already jumped on the bandwaggon is not really worth a mention. From all the so-called "new hopefuls" that I have checked out lately (no need to mention any […]
In case you always wanted to find out how some of the Voices contributors are killing their sparetime, in between writing and doing interviews, you should definitely check out this new release from BLOODY SIGN as it features monsieur Nathaniel Colas, our crazy maniac from France, on bass and vocals. And you know what? He […]
It didn’t took me very long to get bored by various subgenres in extreme Metal as a result of the ridiculous release overkill… Melodic Death Metal, raw Black Metal, symphonic Black Metal, brutal US style Death Metal… record companies always flooded the market very quickly whenever a certain style turned into the "flavor of the […]
Utter darkness violence and aggression are what are on display here! No fuckin 2 ways about it! Verily you must fear for your immortal soul when listening to "Inferno Of Sacred Destruction"as this is BLACK WITCHERY’s most brutal and unwholesome release to date, The intros are spooky and I could swear some unholy rough beast […]
